MiaGreen Expo & Conference Recap

MiaGreen Expo & Conference RecapMiaGreen Expo & Conference, the leading Green trade, professional, and educational convention for the Southeast Florida, Latin American, and Caribbean markets, took Miami by storm earlier this month. Known as “The Green Convention of the Americas,” the expo combined intensive educational programs, networking situations, and the marketing opportunities of a major trade show into an amazing two-day experience in beautiful Miami Beach. Event categories included Green Building & Remodeling, Renewables – highlighting Solar, Clean Technologies, and Water and Air Sustainable Solutions. A new industry profile, Machinery, Equipment, and Tools serving the aforementioned categories, was introduced this year.

The two-day event featured 53 educational sessions hosted by top U.S. and International green building industry speakers. Adding to its reputation as an interactive conference and sustainable marketplace, MiaGreen introduced an accredited educational program providing AIA (HSW/SD) credits for architects, and a PE License Renewal Program for Florida engineers. In total, MiaGreen offered more than 30 AIA (HSW/SD) & GBCI accredited hours for architects, LEED professionals, and those seeking to become LEED professionals. Some of the standout courses were:

  • LEED® Green Associate Training & Exam Preparation” An 8 AIA LU 8-hour training course that prepared participants to pass the GBCI’s new LEED® Green Associate exam, taught by Michael Arny, the “father of LEED-EB” who chaired the LEED-EB Committee during the development of LEED-EB from 2001-2005.
